2013 NFL Draft: WR Keenan Allen Not Visiting 49ers Local Pro Day

Former Cal Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen will not be attending the 49ers local pro day on Wednesday, according to his agent.

Allen faced controversy yesterday when ESPN reported that he was red-flagged for a drug test at the combine.

He also suffered a strained PCL in February that prevented him from working out a the combine.

Allen is projected to be one of the top receivers chosen in this year’s NFL draft. He caught 46 passes last season for 490 yards and five touchdowns. In 2011, he recorded a career-high 1343 receiving yards.

Why were they drug testing an injured player? Why was he even at the Combine if he never intended to perform. Was he there just to answer questions and look pretty ? With all his problems it explains why his stock has dropped, now teams are looking at him in the second round, not the first.
