NFL Free Agency: RB Rashad Jennings Works Out With Oakland Raiders

The Oakland Raiders are now actively searching for a running back to replace Mike Goodson. An earlier report surfaced that they would be meeting with Bernard Scott, and now, free agent Rashad Jennings tweeted that he worked out with the Raiders:

Selected in the seventh round in 2009, Jennings has spent his entire career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, backing up Maurice Jones-Drew the majority of the time. In 10 games last season, he recorded 101 carries for 283 yards and two touchdowns.

His best season came in 2010, when he had 459 yards and four touchdowns on just 84 carries.

I like both Scott and Jennings! Scott is a better option due to his kick off return capabilities! I didn’t like how Jennings didn’t take advantage if the jones drew injury! Being a fantasy football patron, he let thousands of people down! And I would hate for that same instance to take place if McFadden was god forbid ever injuried in the future! It’s just things you have to consider moving forward!

The Raiders are doing well with these low-risk signings. Jennings was good despite not having much playing time behind MJD, and if/when McFadden goes down, he could help.
