The Oakland Raiders have signed cornerback Mike Jenkins to a one-year deal, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
Jenkins has spent his five seasons with the Cowboys after being selected in the first round in 2008. He earned a Pro Bowl nod in his second season, when he recorded five interceptions and 49 tackles.
In 2012, he had just 14 tackles and no interceptions in 13 games, as he was relegated to a backup role with the arrivals of Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne in Dallas.
Jenkins reportedly debated taking a multi-year deal, but decided that a one-year “prove it” deal would be better off.
