San Francisco Giants: Bruce Bochy Becomes Second-Highest Paid Manager in MLB

What happens when you lead a team to two World Series titles in three seasons? Your wallet gets much fatter.

Giants manager Bruce Bochy, along with general manager Brian Sabean, received contract extensions through 2016 last week.

ESPN’s Buster Olney reports that Bochy will receive just under $5 million per year, making him the second-highest paid manager in baseball, behind the Angels’ Mike Scioscia, who is signed to a 10-year, $50 million contract.

Bochy is entering his seventh season with the Giants after spending 12 seasons at the helm in Sand Diego.
