When is the last time you saw this much attention around a zero-goal scorer at the trade deadline?
Sharks forward Ryane Clowe is drawing attention from several teams, including the Flyers, Wild, Bruins, Canucks, and Rangers.
The Flyers appear to be the team most interested in Clowe, with CSN Philadelphia reporting that San Jose and Philadelphia have discussed “a few possible scenarios.”
Perhaps a change of scenery could be better for Clowe, who has not scored in 28 games this season. He has 11 assists, 79 penalty minutes, and a -4 plus-minus rating.
He was also suspended two games last month for coming off the bench to engage in an altercation with the Blackhawks’ Andrew Shaw.
Clowe has been a consistent force in the lineup since the 2008-2009 season (he averages over 20 goals per season), but has not found a way to get it together this year.
