The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to terms with former Raiders wide receiver Darrius-Heyward Bey, the team announced. Adam Schefter says it is a one-year deal worth up to $3 million.

Heyward-Bey was released by the Raiders earlier this offseason after spending four seasons with the team.

He was the seventh overall pick in 2009 and had a breakout season in 2011 when he caught 64 passes for 975 yards. However, he struggled last season with only 606 yards, and management decided to pull the strings on Heyward-Bey and his $7.9 million salary.

If that would have been the contract he was under as a Raider, he would still wear silver and black. He’s worth the potential of $3 million, not 8. Still, best of luck to the young man. I hope he continues to improve.

Amen. Definitely worth $3 mil but $8 mil a bit too high. I love the guy too though wish him nothing but the best. Hope him and Luck pair up nicely.
