Free agent cornerback Mike Jenkins will visit with the Buffalo Bills.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Jenkins, who last played for the Dallas Cowboys, also visited with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars have reportedly offered Jenkins a contract. But, before he makes a decision, it is believed Jenkins wants to visit with the Bills and Oakland Raiders before agreeing to a deal.
Jenkins, a University of South Florida product, was a 2008 first-round draft pick of the Cowboys. He has started 48 games in five years and has recorded 146 tackles and eight interceptions. In his second season, Jenkins earned a trip to the Pro Bowl.
According to reports, Jenkins could battle for the Bills’ number two cornerback position. It is believed Leodis McKelvin, who the team resigned to a four-year, $17 million contract, will get consideration for the top spot.
