Ryane Clowe could be playing his final games in Sharks uniform, as it appears more and more likely that the forward will be traded before the April 3rd deadline.
According to CSN’s Kevin Kurz, the Sharks have contacted Clowe’s agent about waiving his no-trade clause, and a trade could come as soon as Sunday.
He cites the Bruins, Rangers, and Canadiens as three potential destinations for Clowe.
Perhaps a change of scenery could be better for Clowe, who has not scored in 28 games this season. He has 11 assists, 79 penalty minutes, and a -4 plus-minus rating.
He was also suspended two games last month for coming off the bench to engage in an altercation with the Blackhawks’ Andrew Shaw.
Clowe has been a consistent force in the lineup since the 2008-2009 season (he averages over 20 goals per season), but has not found a way to get it together this year.
