Happy Friday! Here’s the latest buzz from around the Bay to get your morning started:


Bruce Bochy and Brian Sabean are the San Francisco Giants Now


Sabean hired Bochy in 2007, after the Giants suffered through two consecutive losing seasons; from there, the Giants turned in two more losing seasons under Bochy.

The victories weren’t pouring in, but the two men — who barely knew each other in 2007 — had figured out that they were in this together.

If Carson Palmer Does Not Want to be on the Raiders, Let Him Walk

You don’t want a starting QB who is ok with playing backup and you don’t want a starting QB who does not want to play for you. That means the short lived relationship between the Raiders and Palmer is all but over, it just remains to be seen when and how it is officially terminated.

Big-Game Boldin: 49ers WR ‘Rises to the Challenge’

Boldin’s reputation as a big-game player appears to be well-deserved.

In examining Boldin’s performances in close games (decided by seven points or fewer), divisional games and playoff games, the 10-year veteran appears to be best suited to play in a close game against a divisional opponent in the playoffs.
