The Raiders continue re-modeling their story, looking to sign lower-tier free agents to plug up some holes.
According to Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports, free agent wide receiver Domenik Hixon is visiting with the Raiders.
Hixon has spent five seasons with the New York Giants, winning two Super Bowl rings. He recorded 39 reception for 567 yards and two touchdowns last season after being sidelined with an ACL tear for much of 2011.
If signed, ESPN’s Bill Williamson believes Hixon would likely serve as a rotation player who could be solid insurance for a team with few proven receivers.
