NFL Draft: Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie Scouts QB Matt Barkley at USC's Pro Day

Could Matt Barkley be the Raiders’ first round selection?

Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie was seen watching the quarterback at USC’s Pro Day, according to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.

Barkley is projected to be drafted in the late first round to early second round, and since the Raiders have no picks in that range, they would have to trade down from No. 3 or trade up in order to select him.

Barkley spent four years at USC, and during his senior year, he amassed 3273 passing yards, 36 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions.

The 6’2″, 230 pound product of Newport is regarded as the No. 2 quarterback in the draft class, behind Geno Smith.

We Don’t need a QB from this Draft LET TP RUN THE OFFENCE AND PICK UP VY FOR CHUMP CHANGE , we need a Dominate presence in the middle of our D LINE like BIG FLOYD FROM FLORIDA . HECK we need another RB to Replace or Back up McFadden , we have no RB other then Mac , Twian Jones was moved to DB we lost Goodson to free agency .

I think Barkley will end up being the best QB in this draft. All the naysayers will have to eat crow. However I don’t think Reggie should be looking at him in less Barkley was to somehow fall to the second round, and Oakland was to manage to get back that much needed second round pick that we lost.
