On NFL AM, free agent cornerback Terrence Newman claimed that he will sign somewhere for a chance to help a team win Super Bowl, and that it isn’t about the money.
That likely removes the Raiders from his list. Newman visited Oakland last week and reports indicated that he was close to signing a deal, but it was all a false alarm.
In 15 games last season, Newman had 53 tackles with one forced fumble and two interceptions. The 34-year old cornerback spent his first nine seasons with the Cowboys before heading to Cincinnati.
