Aaron Gordon is going to make some college coach really happy.
The uncommitted senior who is ranked the fourth best high school prospect in the nation put on a show at Sleep Train Arena on Saturday night as San Jose’s Archbishop Mitty Monarchs cruised to a 70-50 victory against the Sheldon Huskies to take the NorCal Open Division crown.
Gordon finished with 29 points and 22 rebounds, shooting 14/24 from the field.
“They have a lot of D-I players, but they just don’t have enough height; that’s what it came down to,” Gordon said when asked to explain his success. “I was able to make shots over them.”
