Opening Day is quickly approaching, and the San Francisco Giants are trying to put the final touches on their 25-man roster by adding another outfielder, reports Bob Nightengale of USA Today.
The #sfgiants on the lookout for another outfielder

Another outfielder is a broad statement, but I doubt anything big is in the cards. If anything, adding another outfielder would strictly be a depth move because they’re unimpressed with the current corps.
Andres Torres has had a less-than-impressing spring. He’s made three base running errors over his last three games, but he’s hitting .333 in just 12 at-bats. He and Gregor Blanco figure to be platoon partners in left field.
Meanwhile, Francisco Peguero’s spectacular spring has him in line to make the roster as the fifth outfielder. He’s leading the Giants with .412 batting average, and also has five RBI.
Angel Pagan and Hunter Pence are locks to start in center field and right field, respectively. But left field is up for grabs if the Blanco-Torres platoon doesn’t workout.
