The Giants have released 20 players from their major league roster, including top prospects Gary Brown and Heath Hembree, who were both reassigned to minor league camp.

Brock Bond, Nick Noonan, Shane Loux, and manager Bruce Bochy’s son Brett were among the big names who were also cut from the team.

Noonan, Ehire Adrianza, Juan Perez, Roger Kieschnick, Chris Heston, Ricky Otero, Sandy Rosario and Jake Dunning were all optioned to Triple A Fresno.
