He’s not quite JaMarcus 2.0, but close.

The Raiders have contacted free agent quarterback Vince Young and the two sides are in “preliminary talks” regarding a workout, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network (via ProFootballTalk).

Drafted as the third overall pick in 2006, Young never lived up to the hype that he seemed destined for. After five drama-filled seasons with the Titans, Young was released and picked up by the Eagles.

Young completed 66 passes for 866 yards, four touchdowns, and nine interceptions in six games with Philadelphia in 2011.

He was with the Bills briefly in 2012, but was released before the start of the season and was out of football for the past year.
