5- Giancarlo Stanton, RF, Miami Marlins

2012 Stats: .290 AVG, 37 HRS, 75 Runs, 86 RBI

If Stanton played for the Giants, Yankees, Red Sox or Dodgers his name would be among the legends of the game; instead, he has to settle for the title of the game’s best power-hitter.

No one else swings a more violent bat and makes pitchers consider dusting off the old Bonds treatment. Really the biggest negative with Stanton is that he plays for the despicable Marlins. However, as a baseball fan you are in luck if you want to boycott Miami and still see the game’s premier slugger, because Stanton will be suiting up for team USA in the World Baseball Classic. Don’t miss your chance to see the tournament and when you do tune in make sure to be glued to your television when number 27 for the Americans is at the plate.
