Tim Lincecum doesn’t back down without a fight, and that extends to outside the ballpark.
Lincecum’s former landlady claims that the two-time Cy Young Award winner caused $200,000 worth of damage to a townhouse he lived in until 2011 in San Francisco’s Mission District.
She claims that he caused damaged to: “bedding, doors, carpet, pillows, kitchenware, linens, furniture, household appliances, art work, decorations, patio furniture, lights, lamps and mirrors, among other things’.”
What “other things” can there be when she has already listed practically everything that could possibly exist in a house?
More importantly, how does someone damage that many items? Did Timmy decide to throw a bullpen session in his living room?
Lincecum plans to “vigorously contest the allegations” in court, according to his lawyer.
Just to clarify here: $200,000 represents less than one percent of his $22 million salary.
