Rumor: 49ers Looking at Tim Tebow?

In their search for a backup quarterback, rumors are floating around that the 49ers may look at trading for Tim Tebow.

However, one source says that the 49ers have not discussed a trade with the Jets and have no interest in Tebow.

As wild as it may seem, it isn’t hard to fathom the 49ers at least thinking about bringing in Tebow, who plays a similar style to Colin Kaepernick (except the arm, of course).

Tebow was the Jets backup last season, and saw limited action in 12 games. Of course, he leapt into the spotlight the year before when he led the Broncos to the playoffs.

Nonetheless, there are plenty of other options for 49ers to look at that won’t bring a giant media circus to San Francisco.

Tebow to the Niners!!! Sounds good to me…

Why do you think he will fit in SF?

Good insurance if Kap gets hurt… slower less accurate version, but might be able to get a couple Ws while Kap is out. Also, maybe some goal line/running situations (even a decoy?).

Just spit-balling, but honestly I just like Tebow’s character and think he is a winner.

Doubt its true and unless Kaepernick got hurt he would only sit and watch. He needs to go play in Canada and prove himself.

I doubt its true as well, but the rumors are out there.
