The Warriors will be without All-Star forward David Lee tonight in New York as they take on the Knicks. Lee was suspended one game for his role in the altercation in Indiana last night.
It is a real shame for Lee, who was anticipating playing against his former team.
However, head coach Mark Jackson will get to coach in Madison Square Garden for the first time. Jackson was drafted by the Knicks in 1987 and spent seven years in New York in two separate stints.
In the game versus the Pacers that involved a fight midway through the fourth quarter, the Warriors allowed several long runs and could not respond down stretch. Thus, they had their three game win streak snapped.
The Knicks, who are first in the Atlantic Division, ended their four-game losing streak on Sunday with a win over Philadelphia.
New York should have recently-signed Kenyon Martin in the lineup for the first time, but will be without the injured Marcus Camby and Rasheed Wallace.
