Report: David Lee Suspended One Game For Role in Altercation

Someone was bound to get suspended after the Warriors and Pacers engaged in a mini-brawl on Tuesday night.

David Lee, who ultimately started to fight, was suspended by the NBA on Wednesday for one game, reports Sam Amick of USA Today. Amick also reports that Lee will appeal his suspension.

Lee started the fight by shoving Roy Hibbert of the Pacers. I won’t get into details, but you can read our full breakdown of the right here.

Unfortunately for the Warriors, this suspension came at a bad time, as they take on the third place Knicks tonight in New York. Without one of their best players, their chances of beating them obviously take a big hit.

Lee wasn’t the only one who was punished in the wake of the altercation. Hibbert also got a one-game suspension, and Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have been fined by the league. The Pacers’ Lance Stephenson was also fined.
