Raiders DT Desmond Bryant Arrested For Criminal Mischief

Oakland Raiders defensive tackle Desmond Bryant was arrested this morning for criminal mischief in Miami.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, he showed up to a neighbor’s house intoxicated and caused a commotion.

Bryant was booked into he Miami-Dade County jail at 9:24 ET this morning and is being held on $1,000 bail.

He was signed by the Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2009 after playing his college ball at Harvard. He recorded four sacks in eight starts last season, but played in all 16 games.

In October of 2009, the LA Times published this articleabout Bryant graduating from an Ivy League school, and he was quoted as saying, “the Ivy League’s not really my type of environment. I had some really good teammates and friends, but outside of the football world I didn’t interact much with the other kids.”
