Andrew Bogut Out Indefinitely With Back Spasms

The Golden State Warriors will be without Andrew Bogut tonight against the San Antonio Spurs, according to Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Bogut was questionable earlier Friday with back spasms, and he actually had an MRI on his back Friday. The results haven’t been released yet, but the Warriors have a reason to be concerned–Bogut missed 43 games in 2008-09 with a stress fracture in his back, and subsequent back problems have followed that injury.

Golden State can only be patient with their big man, who’s growing to be a disaster. With a 5-game road trip looming, the Warriors medical staff is playing it safe, but the word “indefinitely” implies that there could be something more severely wrong with his back than the reported spasms.
