In an effort to make one last championship run, the Celtics are becoming active players at the trade deadline.

The latest report from ESPN suggests that they might be interested in acquiring the Kings’ Tyreke Evans.

However, both the Sacamento Bee and Yahoo! Sports have heard from sources that Evans will not be dealt today. Yahoo! also reports that center DeMarcus Cousins is staying in SacTown.

Evans is averaging 15.4 points and 3.1 assists per game this season, both career lows. He was the Rookie of the Year back in 2009-2010.
