The first domino may have fallen in the days leading up to the trade deadline.
Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the Sacramento Kings will send Thomas Robinson to the Houston Rockets for Patrick Patterson, Cole Aldrich, and Toney Douglas as part of a three-way deal. Marcus Morris is heading to the Suns for a second round pick.
The Kings will also trade away Francisco Garcia and Tyler Honeycutt to Houston for cash.
Robinson was the fifth overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, but has had his ups-and-downs in Sacramento. He was suspended two games in November for elbowing Jonas Jerebko in the throat area. Robinson is averaging 4.8 points and 4.7 rebounds coming off the bench.
Sacramento will be acquiring a solid young forward in Patterson, who is just 23 years old. He has really stepped up this season, averaging 11.6 points and 4.7 rebounds for the Rockets thus far in his third year.
Douglas was dealt to Houston before the start of the season. The former Knicks starting point guard is scoring 8.1 points per game in 2012-2013.
Aldrich was the 11th overall pick in 2010, but has not quite lived up to the hype. He has seen only 7.1 minutes per game in his three seasons split between the Thunder and the Rockets.
