49ers: Colin Kaepernick Is One Dedicated Person

If we’ve learned anything about Colin Kaepernick, it is that he is as dedicated as they come.

Most people would give their right arm for a chance to attend the Grammys or the Oscars, but not Kaepernick, who the Sacramento Bee reports is “shunning the limelight to hit the gym.”

The report states that Kaepernick was invited to attend the Grammys as well as to be a “special correspondent” at the Oscars later this week.

Instead, he’s in a facility in Atlanta, training with offensive linemen. He allowed himself just one week to relax following the Super Bowl, attending Cartoon Network Hall of Game Awards and the annual Clive Davis Gala, where he met Usher, John Legend, and John Mayer.

But recess is now over, and for Kaepernick, it’s time to get back to work. Here’s an average training day for the 49ers quarterback:

They arrive at 8 a.m. and take off in the late afternoon. Wednesday’s pool workouts are particularly tough. Imagine trying to swim while someone pulls on you – via a harness and bungee cords – from the opposite direction.

Prestigious award shows are not the only thing Kaepernick has been invited to. The Bee goes on to report that talk show host Jay Leno invited him on his show, companies have offered him a chance to star in their ads, and authors want to write a story about him.

And it shouldn’t surprise you one bit to hear that he turned all of them down.
