The Golden State Warriors are among three teams interested in acquiring Hornets shooting guard Eric Gordon, according to an ESPN report.
The Mavericks and Rockets have also expressed interest.
However, Marcus Thompson of the Bay Area News Group says that although the Warriors like Gordon, they have injury concerns and don’t like his monster contract worth $29 million over the next two seasons.
Thompson also notes that the Hornets would probably want both Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes, which is too high of a price for the Warriors.
Gordon is averaging 16.4 points in 18 games played with the Hornets this season. He was drafted in 2008 as the seventh overall pick by the Clippers, and his best year came in 2010-2011 when he put up 22.3 PPG.
