In addition to being Warriors representatives at All-Star weekend, both Stephen Curry and David Lee could be on Team USA, reports NBA.com
Curry was part of Team USA for the 2010 world championships, but was left off the roster for the 2012 Olympics last year.
However, Team USA GM Jerry Colangelo says that Curry is once again in the mix to join the national squad:
“He definitely is,” Colangelo told NBA.com. “He’s never really been off the radar. It’s always been about injuries with him. I think he continues to develop as a player and I plan to invite him this summer.”
Teammate David Lee, who was selected as the Warriors lone All-Star, will also likely be receiving an invitation, the report states.
Both Curry and Lee are in the midst of career seasons. Curry is averaging 21 points a game and shooting over 43 percent from 3-point range, while David Lee has been Mr. Consistency, putting up 19 points and 11 rebounds on a daily basis.
