The University of San Francisco Dons host the Portland Pilots in a WCC rematch at War Memorial Gym tonight.  USF (11 – 13, 4 – 7 WCC) enters this game after an impressive road win over BYU 99 – 87 in Provo, UT last Saturday.  The Pilots (9 – 17, 2 – 9 WCC) lost a squeaker to Pepperdine 72 – 68 in Portland, OR last Saturday.

The Dons are led by the terrific trio of Cole Dickerson (14.5 points per game), Cody Doolin (12.4 ppg), and De’End Parker (12.3 ppg).  Dickerson dominates the glass with 9.9 rebounds per game, with Tim Derksen grabbing 4.9 rpg.  Doolin dishes out 5.8 assists per game to lead the Dons in that category.

As a team, USF shoots 45.7 percent from the field, 40.6 percent behind the 3-point line, and 66.1 percent from the free throw line.

Portland is led by Ryan Nicholas with 13.2 ppg and Kevin Bailey (11.0 ppg).  Nicholas grabs 9.2 rpg, followed by Thomas van de Mars with 5.3 rpg.  Derrick Rodgers dishes out 3.1 apg.

Portland shoots 40.8 percent from the field, 31.1 percent behind the 3-point arc, and 67.9 percent from the charity stripe.

The Dons were able to pull off the upset road victory over BYU due to De’End Parker’s prolific scoring, who is apparently fully healed from his wrist injury.  As long as Doolin can continue to create scoring opportunities for his teammates, USF should handily win this home game.

Tip off is 7 pm Pacific time.
