Kings Blown Out in Dallas

The Kings were on the receiving end of a 123-100 blowout in Dallas tonight.

Vince Carter led the way with 26 points, passing Larry Bird for 29th on the all-time scoring list. Darren Collison had 18 while Dirk Nowitzki chipped in 17.

DeMarcus Cousins put forth his best effort with 17 points and 13 rebounds, but the Kings failed to play any defense whatsoever, allowing the Mavericks to shoot 41 percent and make 13 threes.

After an evenly-played first quarter, the Mavs pulled away to a double-digit advantage in the second as Collison and Nowitzki caught on fire. Dallas led by 15 at halftime and would never look back.

The 23-point blowout hands Sacramento their second straight road loss after winning their previous two home games.

The Kings will now head into the All-Star break with an abysmal 19-35 record, and uncertainty ringing in the air about their future in Sac-town.
