Cal Upsets No. 7 Arizona

The Cal Bears stunned the No. 7 Arizona Wildcats on the road on Sunday afternoon by the score of 77-69.

They were led by 31 points from Allen Crabbe, who was 12/15 from the field. Justin Cobbs finished with 21 points in the upset.

Cal trailed 38-33 at the end of the first half, but opened the floodgates to begin the second.

Crabbe and Cobbs scored Cal’s next 17 points, as the Bears went on a 15-2 run during that stretch and took a double-digit lead.

The Wildcats cut the lead to 71-69 with under three minutes to play, but a jumper by Crabbe and a couple of airballs from Arizona sealed the deal.

This is the Bears second victory over a ranked opponent, with their first coming against No. 10 Oregon last Saturday.

Cal is now 14-9 on the season, and this win surely puts them in consideration for a bid to the NCAA Tournament in March.
