The Sacramento Kings prepare to finish their six game road trip in Utah, as they prepare to take on the Utah Jazz at Energy Solutions Arena. The Kings have split their previous two games against the Jazz this season. Utah has won eight of their last last nine home games.
The Kings will need a group effort tonight as the Jazz have started to play with more intensity of the defensive end of the floor. Sacramento has struggled to find a flow on the offensive end of the floor during this road trip, and will need to turn things around tonight against Utah.
DeMarcus Cousins had been in a slump in his previous six games before scoring 25 points against New York. Cousins had been averaging 11.5 points in his previous six games. Cousins will need to find his teammates and look to score the ball early against Utah. Cousins will need to help Isaiah Thomas get the team going right away, as Cousins has been one of the Kings assist leaders.
Tyreke Evans and Isaiah Thomas will have big opportunities to get their teammates and themselves involved on the offensive side of the ball. Thomas has 19 assists in his last four games, and will need to continue to find his open teammates, and run the offense. Evans has begun to find his niche on the scoring end, averaging 23.7 points on 52.7 shooting. Evans had an off night in New York going 3-10 with only seven points.
Sacramento will look to turn things around before heading home to Sacramento. The Kings must come ready to play, and not allow themselves to start thinking about Coming home before the win in Utah.
