Frank Gore: “We Are the Better Team”

The postgame quotes keep coming in as Super Bowl XLVII wraps up from New Orleans following the Ravens’ 34-31 win over the 49ers.

Frank Gore, who rushed 19 times for 110 yards and a touchdown, did not exactly hold back his true feelings:

“I respect them, but I think we’re the better team,” Gore repeated over and over again to reporters.

During the 49ers’ final drive, when they were down 34-29 and needed a touchdown, they did not call a run play for Frank Gore on any of their four downs.

The final play, on fourth-and-down, ended in controversy when Michael Crabtree appeared to be held in the end zone.
