Randy Moss Unhappy With His Role

Randy Moss saved his best quotes for last. It was only a matter of time before the controversial wide receiver would open his mouth and stir up trouble, and it happened to come during Super Bowl media day with two thousand reports in attendance.

Aside from proclaiming himself as the greatest wide receiver of all time, Moss stated that he was unhappy with his role on the 49ers.

“I don’t like my role,” Moss said. “I really don’t. I like to be out there playing football. One thing I’ve really had to understand is being a decoy.”

Moss caught 28 passes for 434 yards and three touchdowns during the regular season. He is playing in his 14th career season with his sixth team.

“I understand my presence out on the field, that I don’t always have to touch the ball to help the offense score touchdowns,” he continued. “Like I said, I don’t really like that, but it’s something that I’m used to. I had to grow to understand it.”

Moss has managed to keep out of the spotlight for most of the season, not speaking to the media openly until now. I guess the 49ers just found out the drawbacks of placing a microphone in front of Randy.

You know what will likely shut him up? A Super Bowl ring.
