Behind John Gage’s 19 points, the Stanford Cardinal cruised to an 87-56 victory on the road at Utah.
Gage was extremely efficient off the bench, making all four of his 3-point attempts. Chasson Randle added 17 and Josh Huestis had 13 points for the Cardinal, who shot a blistering 50 percent from the floor.
Stanford jumped out to a 10-2 lead early and never looked back. By the midway point of the first half, the lead was up to 17 on a pair of free throws by Huestis.
Gage and Huestis both made threes to close out the half, and the Cardinal headed into the locker room up 20.
The buckets just keep coming in the second half, as Stanford led 71-38 at one point. They piled up 87 points on a struggling Utah team, comfortably winning by 31 points.
The Cardinal are now 12-8 overall and 3-4 in Pac-12 play.
