The Sacramento Kings were thoroughly dismantled Saturday night in Denver, losing 93-121. Sacramento never seemed to show up as they went down 35-15 late in the first quarter. The Kings never got within single digits of the Nuggets after giving up the big lead.
Denver lead 71-49 at halftime, and had three players already in double digits. Denver had six players score double digits, including all five starters. Denver had 34 assists to Sacramento’s 20. The Nuggets were nearly unstoppable from beyon the three point arc as they shot 82.7 percent on 14-17 shots.
Sacramento fans had little to cheer about during Saturday’s route, but Thomas Robinson had his second double double in three games, and showed signs of putting thing together.
The Kings will need to find a way to turn things around on this six game road trip; as they fly to Washington and prepare to take on the Wizards Monday.
