49ers Notes: Kaepernick Trademarks "Kaepernicking," Gore Fined For Sock Length, etc.

49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has trademarked the term “Kaepernicking,” according to the San Francisco Chronicle via the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

“Kaepernicking” is the new “Tebowing” right now, and it is about 100 times cooler. Why bend your elbow and kneel when you can flex your arm and kiss your bicep?

Gore Fined For Something You Won’t Believe

NFL rules state that “socks must be pulled up over the calf and meet with the uniform pants at the knee.”

Frank Gore ignored that rule during the NFC Championship game, and was fined $10,500 for wearing his socks too low.

To protest, the Niners will play barefoot in the Super Bowl (kidding).

Bochy Pulling for Niners

Giants’ manager Bruce Bochy texted “congratulations” to Jim Harbaugh following the Niners’ win over the Falcons to advance to the Super Bowl, says AP’s Janie McCauley.

Hopefully another team will have a parade down Market Street next month.
