Jack Harbaugh must be one proud father.
Both Jim and John will be headed to Superbowl XLVII, as the Niners and Ravens scored victories in their respective championship games on the road.
The 49ers overcame a 17-0 deficit to defeat the Falcons 28-24 on the road. Frank Gore’s touchdown midway through the fourth quarter capped off an impressive victory by the 49ers, who will be heading to their sixth Superbowl in franchise history.
Even Billy Cundiff couldn’t have screwed up this game for the Ravens, who made an outstanding comeback themselves against the Patriots. They rallied off 21 straight points in the second half, with Joe Flacco throwing for three touchdowns and proving himself once and for all to his critics.
So how could this be drawn up any better?
This will obviously mark the first time that two brothers will square off in the Superbowl, the greatest, grandest game in America – if not the whole world.
Who’s got the edge? Will the 49ers take home their sixth Superbowl in franchise history? Or will the Ravens win one for Ray Lewis, who is calling this his last playoff run?
