WSBTV, a local Atlanta news station, is reporting that a fan was stabbed in the neck following the NFC Championship game between the 49ers and Falcons on Sunday.

Here’s how it went down:

A witness told Channel 2′s Rachel Stockman a Falcons fan, who was upset about the team’s loss, began arguing with a 49ers backer in the silver lot outside Gate D. The argument turned violent when the Falcons fan punched the 49ers fan, who then pulled out a knife.

The Niner fan then reportedly stabbed the Falcon fan in the neck, who was transported to the hospital.

The 49ers defeated the Falcons 28-24 to advance to the Superbowl.

Three wise words of advice: please celebrate responsibly. A 49ers’ victory does not give you the right to break the law.
