Bulls Look To Take Weekend Series Against Rival Thunder: Game Preview

The San Francisco Bulls travel back to Stockton finish up their three game series with the rival Thunder. The Bulls come into the game at 14-20-5 with 33 point, while the Thunder are 21-14-7 with 49 points. The Bulls defeated the Thunder four to two last night as four different Bulls scored goals. Taylor Nelson had 32 saves and played much better than his previous two appearances. The Bulls look to win the series by taking game three tonight.

The Bulls offense clicked last night as they were able to score four goals on 31 shots. The goals came from four different players, which gave the Bulls some much needed depth scoring. Peter Sivak continues to drive the Bulls offense as he has scored in five straight games now. The offensive will have to carry into today’s game as the Bulls have been awful on the road throughout the season. The penalty kill continues to be hot as the Bulls have denied the Thunder on eight of 10 chances during the series. They will have be strong again to counter this powerful Thunder power play.

The key to tonight’s game will be the special teams battle. The Bulls will look to their power play to generate offense on the road. On Friday, both of the Bulls goals were scored on the man advantage. The Bulls will also lean on their penalty kill to deny the Thunder any chance at gaining momentum on the power play. The Bulls have had the Thunder’s number throughout the season as they have won four of the six games play this season and look for them to make a strong push as they look to increase that advantage.
