San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree did make the trip to Atlanta, and is expected to play in the NFC Championship game, according to the team.

Crabtree is being investigated for an alleged sexual assault that took place following the Niners’ win over the Packers last Sunday.

49ers’ general manager Trent Baalke issued a statement on Friday night regarding the situation:

We are aware of the allegation against Michael and understand that he has fully cooperated with authorities. The 49ers take such matters very seriously. We will have no further comment at this time as the legal process is ongoing. Additional requests for comment should be directed to Michael’s attorney.

The Niners face the Falcons on Sunday afternoon for the right to represent the NFC in the Superbowl.
