Andrew Bogut’s Warriors career has not gone as smoothly as he had hoped. The Australian center has played in just four games this season before shutting himself down indefinitely with an ankle injury.
However, he may get some help from Nike, who will design a custom shoe for him that can ease ankle and foot pain .
Yahoo Sports reports that a Nike technician “met with Bogut at the team’s training facility Wednesday for about 45 minutes” to gather information for the shoe.
Bogut may also travel to Nike’s headquarters in Portland to have further testing for his custom shoe.
Nike has helped injured Warriors in the past with designing specialized shoes, most notably Stephen Curry last season, when he had troublesome ankle issues.
