We’ve seen so many twists and turns with the potential sale of the Sacramento Kings that nothing is a surprise anymore…so here’s the latest of what we’re hearing:
Grant Napear, the Kings’ television play-by-play broadcaster, revealed that there is yet another ownership group that plans to jump into the mix to buy the Kings and keep them in Sacramento.
NBC reported earlier today that there are a number of investors interested in buying the team and not relocating them, but we could still be weeks away from a resolution.
Late last week, reports circulated that a deal had been reached between the Maloof brothers and a Seattle investment group headed by Chris Hansen that would also relocate the team to Seattle.
But the sale has not been finalized, neither side has commented, and those on the outside are left wondering what in the world is going to happen to the Sacramento Kings.
