A couple of the San Francisco 49ers’ coaching and management persons could be headed for bigger positions with different organizations. Tom Gamble (49ers’ Director of Player Personnel), for instance, is the favorite to become the New York Jets new general manager, a daunting task itself.
Now, Greg Roman, San Francisco’s offensive coordinator Greg Roman is a candidate to become a head coach, specifically with the Jacksonville Jaguars, reports Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area.
The Jaguars, who hired David Caldwell to become their general manager Tuesday, was one of Roman’s teammates and roommates in the 1990’s at John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio.
There’s also a possibility for Roman to become the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts reports Maiocco:
Indianapolis Colts director of player personnel Tom Telesco, who also attended John Carroll and knows Roman, is a candidate for the San Diego Chargers’ general manager position.
Despite the rumors, Roman is fully focused on this weekend’s upcoming playoff game against the Green Bay Packers, saying “”I’m focused on the Packers” when asked to discuss his future.
