Dan Fegan, the agent for Sacramento Kings’ center DeMarcus Cousins, met with team president Geoff Petrie on Monday, according to USA Today.
However, no trade request was made for the disgruntled star, who has been the target of many rumors in recent days. Cousins has had a down year in Sacramento, leading to speculation that he might want a fresh start.
The Kings, meanwhile, have maintained their stance that they will not trade Cousins even if he requested one. Obviously, they still see the potential of a superstar under the skin of an immature young man who has admitted to lacking self-confidence.
What is interesting is that Cousins fired his longtime agent John Greig in favor of Fegan, who is notorious for getting unhappy players out of their current team (see Dwight Howard).
While there is not a trade request as of now, it may only be a matter of time before Fegan and Cousins demand an exit from Sacramento for the big man.
