Once again, the Kings (for now) are staying in Sacramento.
It was rumored for a while that the city of Virginia Beach, VA was planning to build a stadium for an NBA team, but today the mayor told the Sacramento Bee, ”This just ain’t gonna work at this point in time.”
The reasoning? Comcast-Spectator, the company building the stadium, passed the city-imposed Monday deadline without reaching a deal or collecting the necessary funding.
So it appears that the Maloofs and the city of Sacramento, by doing absolutely nothing, will keep the dismal Kings in their city.
