According to Marcus Thompson of the San Jose Mercury News, Warriors’ guard Jarrett Jack did not participate in shoot around this morning due to an injured right elbow. He suffered the injury while lifting weights on Thursday, and is officially a game-time decision for tonight’s game against the Clippers.
Jack reportedly missed Friday’s practice with ailment in his elbow. Still, Marcus Thompson of the Costa Rica Times speculates that Jack will play, as the thriving point-guard didn’t look too concerned when he spoke with reporters today.
Jack has been a crucial part of Golden State’s success this season, averaging 12.3 points and 5.1 assists. More recently, he’s averaging 17.4 points over his past seven games.
Without Jack, the Warriors will be at a huge disadvantage against a loaded Clippers’ bench. Los Angeles’s bench is the best statistical bench in the league, and it will likely be utilized significantly tonight on the back-end of a back to back.
Luckily, the Warriors haven’t played a game since Wednesday, and could overuse Stephen Curry if necessary.
