The Golden State Warriors have been the surprise team in the West this season, currently sitting at fourth in the conference with a 22-10 record.
They may even get an added bonus pretty soon with the return of injured center Andrew Bogut. Bogut, who has played in just four games this season, is out indefinitely with an ankle injury. There is no timetable for when he plans to play again.
However, co-owner Joe Lacob does have some good news for us:
When he’s ready, he’s ready. There’s no pressure on him. We’ve told him repeatedly – no pressure whatsoever to come back by a certain date. You tell us when you’re ready, and you feel great. Everything I hear is that he’s coming along really well and that he’s getting much closer.
Bogut had micro-fracture surgery early last year, and has never really fully recovered. He made an effort to play in the Warriors’ first few games this season, but it was obvious that he was rushing back and was not at 100 percent.
