Luckily for the Warriors, the Clippers just lost their first game in 18 outings. The Clippers, up to until this point, were on a 17-game winning streak.
Now on the back end of a back to back, the Warriors should hit the Clippers hard and early. Since the Warriors have had quite a lengthy break, they should be re-charged and ready to face the Clippers.
Remember, the Warriors and the Clippers are rivals, so this is likely to be a very exciting game. Nevertheless, the Warriors should have no excuse to bring their A-game. They’ve had plenty of rest while the Clippers are very tired coming off a tough outing in the high altitude of Denver.
The South Cal, North Cal rivalry is a huge thing: the Warriors have the advantage this game: at home against a partly tired Clippers’ team, who were demoralized by the Nuggets. With that said, of their five starters, only Chris Paul played more than 30 minutes last night.
With sixth-man of the year candidates Jarrett Jack and Jamal Crawford going head-t0-head, the benches should be equally matched, which will be a new task for the Clippers, who usually separate themselves from opponents when their bench takes over.
