San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis is active for this afternoon’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, the team announced.
Davis sustained a concussion in last week’s game, when Seahawks’ safety Kam Chancellor leveled him with a crushing hit in the first quarter. He did not return for the rest of the game.
Davis wore a non-contact jersey during Friday’s practice, and had to have cleared a simulated contact test in order to play today. The tight end has not missed a game in five seasons.
